The mission of Making the Movement: Civil Rights Museum is to preserve the artifacts of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. Activists used the “nonviolent weapons” in this exhibition to combat Jim Crow, and they can teach current and future generations about the importance of material culture to the fight for freedom, justice, and equality.
